Development of river bank monitoring method using ICRT technology

Since more efforts have been demanded to rationalize inspection and diagnostic work because of shortage of technical experts and financial resources, it is crucial to increase the efficiency and decrease the cost of the maintenance work of civil engineering structures. There has been frequent river bank failure caused by an abnormal weather condition lately, it is especially important to develop river bank monitoring methods using ICRT (Information, communication and robot technology) that can reduce cost and perform a high efficient maintenance work. In this study, we develop mobile measurement system that is one of ICRT technologies and put it to practical use.
