Identification and classification of the target genes for food phytochemicals using a budding yeast screening system

The identification of molecular targets of food phtochemicals conferring the health promoting abilities contributes to the understanding of their molecular basis. In this study, we employ a budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae to identify the target genes by the introduction of the genome-wide multi-copy plasmid collection to wild-type yeast strain.
